I just bought some before it gets reclassified. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. I think the reason it is not taking off mainstream so much right now is the come down but that is mainly because people have been taking rubbish pills and MDMA for years. A strong pill would knock you on your ass back in the days just like this stuff does and you dealt with it. People have had a comedown holiday for a long time now due to poor quality.

The deaths issue well that is all just the Leah Betts stage of the drug. There will always be drug related deaths and lets face it compared to smoking it is still low. People chase their tales about these drugs while nicotine kills tens of thousands each year, the buzz lasts a minute and is as addictive as crack! smile The long term health unknowns are the bigger worry though I think. Government investigation and research will bring such issues to light hopefully. Perhaps the recent death of those kids was due to bingeing, Leah Betts death was due to excess water remember not the pill she took.

I think you have to take this substance in moderation, it is powerful, cheap, pure and everyone is used to being ripped off by some back street dealer cutting his gear with persil automatic so naturally we always go for higher doses and presume our tolerance levels are higher. I did one bit of this stuff last night and it wacked me out. It is strong stuff, it is great though. Just treat it with respect, if you rags it it will rags you. It is simple really.

did not realise the lads were taking a plethora of drugs that most likely interacted with each other and gave them both a lifetime membership of the Darwin Awards Club

legalising drugs and having their side effects listed could go a long way to helping, those that want drugs will take it whatever the government states, mixed in with all manner of dodgy fillers to bulk up the criminals profits

government is short of cash, legalise and tax drugs, suspect they will make a lot of cash, not sure what the criminals will do next...

They'll all just get done for tax evasion instead.

I'd say it gave them membership to that other exclusive club of people who took stims and opiates and dropped dead, the club whose memebrs include River Phoenix, Chris Farley and John Belushi

Nicotine doesn't have a tendency to suddenly kill you after one cig though. Hence stimulant type drugs can be a bit dicey smile

Toxicology tests have shown that two teenagers whose deaths were linked to mephedrone had not taken the drug.

The deaths of Louis Wainwright, 18, and Nicholas Smith, 19, in March 2010 sparked concern about the synthetic stimulant, which was then legal.

The Labour government banned the so-called "legal high" in April, making it a Class B drug alongside amphetamines and cannabis.

But tests have revealed there were no traces of mephedrone in their blood.

so now it's being shown that Mephedrone isn't responsible for these deaths are they going to reverse their decision to ban it?

An equal likelyhood of Satan skating to work, I would proffer.

there was a story about this on radio 4's PM programme earlier.

Two of the confirmed "mephedrone related" deaths include:

a man who died in a car crash with mephedrone in his bloodstream
a man who had several health complications and intravenously injected a large quantity of mephedrone several times in short succession.

hmmmm.

I know someone that didn't die of a caffeine overdose... ban it?
