“[They] held a gun to the heads of the ACMD and demanded that this drug should be banned, before a single autopsy had been completed. The only good that might emerge from this fiasco is a long-overdue review of drug control policy.

“The politicians talk about using drug classification as a way of sending “messages” to young people. I fear that the only message that will be sent by the hasty decision on mephedrone is that the present drug laws deserve no respect.”

Who cares about facts when the media-generated moral panic is over as a result of knee-jerk classification in the run-up to an election?

The poor lads were just pawns frown Still, classification stops people taking drugs, especially that deadly drug marijuana, which has claimed so many lives as a direct result of taking it.

My mate has used mephadrone for about 4 years. Partly because he kept OD'ing on MDMA, and wanted something safer, but mostly because he's lazy and meph is/was a lot easier to get hold of. Like a lot of other ravers.
So its back to the old faithfulls now! Well done everyone
