One smiling fool looking into the camera and everyone is suddenly planning to vote for unilateral nuclear disarmament (and the rest of the Lib Dem nonsense).

I hope this happens because I feel that Labour have fked the UK so badly, that it would actually be painful to see a Tory administration trying to put things right again.

Every move they would make would be bleeted to death by hand wringing lefty cocks.

Face it - it's time to leave.

Some things can't be mended.

Leave them all to drown in their own st.

Another one of their gems is that people convicted of "minor" crimes eg assault/burglary with sentences less than 6 months will not have to go to prison. Total madness.

Go away...

Your pals have screwed this country like never before...

You ought to be grovelling and apologising for electing the goons...

It's all your fault, you wimpering chimp...smile

No need to shout.

My point is that people don't seem to be capable of assessing the policies, but choose who to vote for based on their appearance and ability to perform rehearsed set-pieces to camera.

We're in deep st.

We need poeple to think hard about how to get out of it.

I don't think the Lib Dems or Labour are the answer.

Naaah! In my manor it's a two horse race, Cons and Libdems, has been for decades, so you probably stand more chance of being responsible for a Labour government than I.

Wimpering chimp - I like it!

SO WHY THE so why the Tories? I've heard plenty on here as to how st Labour are and how crap the Lib Dems are but nowt about what it is in particular that is so good about the Cons.
Being 'less bad' than the others is no reason to vote for them.

They may not be veyr good but we have 13 years of evidence to show that labour are the worse thing to have happened in the history of the country.

The Libs won't get them out so there is no alternative to the Tories.

100% correct. People need to think outside the box or you'll just end up electing another member of the political class.

I agree with that. It would be far better to force them to wear pink tutus in public and get them to fix potholes as a community service.

But it is, isn't it? Maybe not from an idealogical point of view, but certainly from a pragmatic one. I'd like to see a Libertarian/Minarchist state, but I'm resigned to the fact it's not going to happen any time soon. Thus I must vote for the people I feel are less bad than the others - the Tories.

Yet the Tories are, seemingly, accepting of the EU.
Lisbon Treaty rules?

If we were more exacting and forceful in demanding policies that we agreed with then we might just get what we want.
Voting for the lesser of three evils and forsaking voting for a marginal party that we REALLY liked, for fear of a 'wasted vote', will only ever leave us with the 'choice' between st,crap and horse manure.

So yes, in reply to the OP, people really are stupid and you're no different if you vote Conservative.

I bet motorists refusing to plead guilty to a speeding accusation will not be covered under that.

I think it might be. The least bad, by definition, would be the best surely?

Agreed. Prison is not the way to stop kids offending later in life. For starters, the people they meet in there will hardly be role models.
