Are you equally willing to support protests to bring down religion in western democracies? There is NO comparison.

"Our national leaders, are sending soldiers out on a task that is from God. That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."
--Sarah Palin, on the Iraq war
"Between science and God, I'll stick with God if the two are in conflict."
-- Republican Candidate Mike Huckabee
"Freedom requires religion."
-- Republican Candidate Mitt Romney
“I've heard the call. I believe God wants me to run for president.”
-- George W. Bush, quoted in George Magazine, September, 2000
"God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them."
-- George W Bush,
“Get the few liberals out. If you don't do it, it ain't gonna be done. You will be doing the Lord's work, and he will richly bless you for it.”
--Sen. James Inhofe, R-Oklahoma, Christian Coalition's Road to Victory Conference, 2002, Washington D.C
Religion is very much in western democracy, especially in the US.
There are VERY powerful figures in the political sphere in the US.
Rev Jerry Falwell
fter the September 11, 2001 attacks, Falwell said on The 700 Club, "I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'"
You might also want to look up Pat Robertson, Rev. Wright, Al Sharpton, etc, all who are very much influential both in the political sphere, and the religious sphere.
"(T)he feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians." - Pat Robertson

There is one flaw in this guy's argument that I can think of. I suspect (but have no factual proof) that there are many more loose women in this country. So how the feck do they get all those earthquakes & all we get is a slight dusting of volcano dust?
We have Winky. Quite the disaster.Blue Meanie said:
