Confused here. Title of one photo says
"ABOVE: These terrifying images are part of a gripping Channel 5 TV reconstruction "
So, its fake then? Or am I missing something?
Ah, sorry, I see what you mean now. They just did not make it clearer.

But with respect only a bear of exceedingly small brain would not understand within a few seconds that this article was about a documentary reporting an old real life incident from way back when.
OK Star readers, as you were... and Star readers don't want news, so where's the bit where Trolley Dolly Samantha (23) 40-24-36 gets her baps out? Or is that the Sport/Sun/another red top I never read?

Of course, there are is one big giveaway that this is an "old" story -
The 747 featured on the front cover of the paper is a series 200. BA withdrew their lastb 200 many years ago.
Also, when National Geographic commissioned the CGI effects for the programme, the CGI artists made one massive error in the depiction of the 747 involved.
The incident happened in 1982. The CGI shows the colour scheme adaopted by BA in 1984.
Here is what it looked like in the TV programme (this is the actual aircraft involved in the incident G-BDXH). This is the post 1984 "Landor" Scheme -
Here is what it actually looked like in 1982 -
The aircraft nearst the camera is G-BDXH.
I notice that the phographer of the second picture - which was taken in April 1982 - is an old mate of mine, Fergal Goodman.
G-BDXH was scrapped at Bornemouth in 2006
