He's getting exasperated on immigration!

Poor old "Adam" is driving him mad.

And this calling everyone by their name is starting to drive me mad.

how come the 3 main candidates are getting their roughest ride on radio 1 newsbeat??

clegg has shown his true colours and is no different. when asked a difficult question, he's just shouting these kids down and banging the drum he's comfortable playing.

I'm just waiting for him to mention dropping the pound in favour of the Euro, then the little yellow bubble will burst.

Is Clegg getting a grilling or are they just lightly tickling his perineum?

One of the downsides for living in a 'pre-scripted' society (or upsides, as it shows these people up for what they are when off-script...)

Haven't heard so much unadulterated bullst since about this time in 1997!

What a poor performance. He was getting all sweaty and flustered at the even the easiest of challenges.

That's because he lost all his notes in the back of a taxi.

a bad show, especially as it seems that it's the 'radio 1' crowd that were dazzled by his election debate performance.

Very telling how he tried to justify doing up his house with taxpayers money.

Well, Clegg got fked over more than Brown did yesterday.

He wasted time and sounded like a buffoon.

I am dreading what Cameron will be like tomorrow.

and yet the facebook page is full of people slating the panel and the journo (tulip) for putting these guys under pressure. some of them hailing what good performances gordy and clegg put in!!

about bloody time they were grilled properly and interrupted when rolling out the same old responses which have little or nothing to do with the question.

The problem you are having there is you are listening to Radio 1 Newsbeat, which has the intellectual level of pondlife, then you are cross referencing those people who are on the Radio 1 Newsbeat Facebook page. This will guarantee the intellectual level will have dropped somewhat below the level of an Amoeba.

while i agree that newsbeat (and indeed radio 1) is at the level you say, it's a sad indictment of the press to say that this is the worst live grilling they've had so far. plenty of acidic stuff written about them, but generally read by an audience who know they're charlatans to begin with.

Just listened to the whole lot and it was interesting. First of all Radio 1 News Beat makes GMTV look like the Politics Show.
Secondly, Tulip Muzzzanddaa (Sp?) is a dippy retard. Thirdly, most of the questions put to Mr Clegg were reasonably well thought out, although one of the girls (cant remember which one) did slightly pang of 'Ive been to Uni and read a few books and know lots of stuff!' about her.

Overall i thought Clegg did ok tbh.
