is it just me but does that "100" on the reverse right side just look plonked on there?

It's like someone took the "eraser" tool on photoshop and quickly rubbed out the background before pasting on the text.

Isn't there something about the amount of dollar notes in circulation around the world that if they were returned and cashed in it would bankrupt the US overnight.
Perhaps this is a ploy to remove all the 100 dollar notes out of circulation overnight hehe

Cashed in for what, gold or other paper denominations?

hehe OK into an bank account that is not american dollar, the US has been printing money willy nilly for a long long time, cashing the dollar is cashing in the IOU and there a lot more IOU's than real money.
I know our labour government thinks printing money is the route to wealth but I predict that all major economies will return to gold and silver standards within my childrens life time.
There is a school of thought that our el Gordo who is cannot be thick as he makes out (:hehe) sold UK gold stocks not to cash in, but deliberately and at a low price to prevent the Gold taking over from govenmental IOU's i.e. the stock market. I think history will show that to be a fair assessment and one of the corner stones that helped keep inflated the stock market bubble to eventual bursting point, remember where you heard it first hehe.

serious question: I though the US government was supposed to be secular? How come it says "in god we trust" on your banknotes.

how long until it gets changed to "in god we trust?"

it wouldn't bankrupt them, but the black market used to run on the dollar, a large amount of which would never see a bank.

euro is used these days due to the E500 note
