Air Carriers obligation in wake of 'volcanic ash' delays
Discussion
So, would it be fiar to assume that most carriers 'fine print' will include various 'Force Majeure' clauses to exclude their liability for accomodating passengers stuck in various parts of the world due to the delays.
After talking with Emirates yesterday adn being told that they are jsut gettign people to mainland Europe I have a feeling that this delay will end up costing me 1k in hotel costs.
Don't even get me started on travel insurance! Mine seems heavily geared toward medical costs and repatriation in the event of injury - but not too useful for an 11 day delay.
Great.
Not.
