Have You Been Canvassed By The 'poll' organisers

apparantly the pollsters have been busy phoning and using the internet to gather data for the polls.

ive just asked 20 of my mates, and none of us (from all over the uk) have.....

I'm a regular yougov opinion poll filler-inner. They asked if I'd like to take part in post-debate polling, I said yes - and heard nothing.

Nobody I know has ever been asked . . . and I did ask around a lot at the last election and so far, same this year, none of them. I only asked because I wanted to know what sort of questions they were asking and how they phrased them.

A chap randomly came to door the other week asking if I'd take part in a consumer poll for TNS-BRMB. Seems he was just going up the street until he found someone who was in and willing to take part then moved a set distance to another area to find someone else to take part.

Have a look at their websites - they using have a breakdown of all the questions (by party, region etc) including the actual questions asked.

I've been called twice on the phone for polls in the last 3 weeks. As a 32 year old Marketing Manager who lives alone and has a listed home phone number I guess I look like 'Mondeo/Motorway Man'.

Never really been tempted by Fords though to be honest...
