Labour Majority followed by Calls for a recount, followed by lib/con pact while gordo refuses to leave number 10 and we all sit at home bhing about it.
Great. I love your optimism - I really, really hope this does not happen. But people still HATE the Tories with a real deep passion and would rather grit their teeth and either stay at home, or vote Liberal 'just to keep Thatcher out' (Yup, I STILL hear it).
I think Tory highest count BUT hung with some support from the Liberals unless CMD says or does something really stupid in the next few days.
Now Cameron has shot himself in the foot by (reportedly) saying he will NOT form a coalition with the Lib Dems.
I think this is a bad mistake. If someone was thinking about voting Libdem may at the last minute decide to vote Tories if they took on-board some of their ideas.
But to dismiss them completely they may just not vote at all or go back to voting Libdem just to upset things.

Judging from the current polls Labour will get fewer votes than the Lib Dems and much fewer than the Conservatives, but more seats than either. So GB will try to hang on as long as possible.
It isn't at all far fetched to think that there might be a demonstration in Whitehall or Trafalgar square to encourage him to go, which the police will use the anti terror laws to break up............
Also, does anyone know the procedure if Labour is the largest party in a hung parliament but GB loses his seat?

Then again, someone who wants Labour out but prefers to vote Liberal, might be persuaded to vote Tory just to get Labour out (knowing that a coalition isn't on he cards) .. it's certainly one or another in my consituency (Zac Goldsmith vs Susan Kramer)Edited by fido on Monday 3rd May 11:14

Does anybody know how big the member from Kirkaldy's majority is?It isn't at all far fetched to think that there might be a demonstration in Whitehall or Trafalgar square to encourage him to go, which the police will use the anti terror laws to break up............
