I'm currently idly postulating on some of the constitutional implications of a "rainbow" coalition. Does anyone know tha actual vote share in England, for some reason google is not providing the answers...?

So 40% blue yet if this so called rainbow alliance takes power England will be the only country that will have massive cuts forced upon us, the Scot, Welsh and Irish parties will make sure that no cuts for their own will be the major clause in them joining.

Chaos, not even us shoulder shrugging English will sit by and watch that happen.

Its an appalling situation, everyone I speak to , hates Labour, not disagrees with, *hates* them.

Should this Lib/Lab "pact" go off, and we get another unelected Liebore PM..then it will time to listen out for the time bomb ticking.

Something will happen, its frightening to think what.

Short of an uprising we're not going to have any choice in this.

This will be pretty much the ultimate test of English patience there is no way the price of the rainbows will be kept quiet and the papers will make this front page news. I kinda hope it happens they will never be able to work together and a election will be less than 6 months away, Libs will be blown away after their political whoring act destroys their whiter than white image, Labour will lose at least another 10-20 seats (the north will never see any bad in them) leaving the Torys with clear majority.

Plus the Labour party are skint and another election might well be the final straw financially and politically, shame.

The only people that will shrug will be the Lambert and Butler brigade.

Even the apathy of much of the English electorate will be tested by a cynical deal to keep Labour in power at the expense of sparing Scotland Wales & NI from the public spending cuts.
