I may be being dumb here, or too logical.

If there is a LabLib coalition then they have 315 seats which is still short of 50% and they'll need extras to reach 326.

Why don't the Cons get a coalition with some of the others, e.g. Plaid Cymru etc to get to the 326 anyway?

Maybe I just don't do politics enough to care!

SNP/Plaid are socialist groups - they won't get in to bed with the Tories

With a few exceptions, most of the others align themselves more with the nazi/scum/labour party, the jocks for example would never want to be in bed with them as they see the conservatives as being the English invaders!

See, it just goes to show why I don't understand - I have no idea when it comes to politics! But won't it get them a chance of being in westminster that they'll never get otherwise?

It's highly unlikely that the Conservatives would be able to get enough support from the others to make a majority government.
