I have seen her on that late night tv program she does, and she is just useless and full of waffle, no substance what so ever.
Come on, she's a real political heavyweight. Gets my vote. thumbup

I think she may have a chance, leadership elections always throw up surprises. I got 100/1 on Paddy Power when she said it, since reduced to 20/1.
Indeed, I seem to remember John Major was 25/1.

The only shame is that they have about a week to get nominations from 33 MPs

Then we wait until Septemberrofl

That's bureaucracy for you.

The Londoner told the BBC her bid was "serious", saying there was little between the other candidates, who "all look the same".
Racist hehe
From Wikipedia.
"In 1996 Abbott was accused of racism when she suggested that "blonde, blue-eyed Finnish girls" in her local hospital in West London were unsuitable as nurses because they "may never have met a black person before"."

This is a smart play from one of the other runners.

Amongst the 6 people running several will be tactical plays.

For example, you can imagine that DA will win some key support that would have favoured someone other than Balls. Hence, when Abbot swings in behind Balls (the reach around manouevre) he will gain a setries of votes he would not have otherwise done. She in return will recieve a shadow cabinet post.

You have to assume that the Steve Miller Band have the same deal going. They've already decided which one of them will be the real runner and the other is just soaking up support from the opposition before moving it in behind the other brother.

I suspect the real run is between Ed Balls (communist) and David Milliband (champagne socialist), in other words Brown v Blair.

The sad thing is, if she was leader, they would probably do well at the next election. To the great unwashed she is That Nice Woman Off The Telly.

I agree, but I think it will be Ed Vs Ed.

To the great unwashed she is the woman who has turned Tower Hamlets into the nirvana of free housing, free money, total support without ever having to work. She is a god.

Surely you mean "that nice, but simple woman off the telly"?

95% of the country have no idea, nor a care, about Tower Hamlets TBH.
I wouldn't be so sure. Normal people won't have but TH has been upheld as a shining beacon of New Labour by the young Labour electorate

I'd just make them walk the plank, simpler and hopefully has the same result
