There it is. As usual, YouTube beats iPlayer for getting it on the internet.
She had nothing to say! if she was white she wouldn't even be in that (reinforced) chair, if she was a bloke someone would have kicked some sense into her. She is a clueless bigotted hypocrit and I stand by everything I've said about her.

Please elect her as Leader
Cheers the link biggrin

I had just been talking to some of the office about this, and the link has come in handy wink

She keeps looking up all the time. It's very irritating.

Neil absolutely tore her a new one. Brilliant. Her tone when saying, "Andrew.......Andrew.....I've got nothing new to say on that.." was phenomenally patronising and I'm sure it contributed to Neil's continued badgering. st-for-brains MPs should be grilled and scrutinized about what they stand for, dual standards and flagrant bending of the rules.

ETA: Portillo was evidently loving it too - he had a massive smirk on his face the whole way through that.

I admire Neil, and I don't think much of Abbott, but I thought he went too far. It was obvious that she would be unable to defend the black mothers comment, or the private school issue, yet Neil seemed to take great joy in repeatedly sticking the knife in. It wasn't dis-similar to Deyton on HIGNFY.

It went too far, and he was far too vicious, especially as they have been colleagues for a few years now. Anyone who watches TW will realise that she's not an entirely credible MP, so I don't think that what Neil said was in any way constructive, just vindictive.

-1 for Neil, and Abbott is on zero anyway, and always has been.
Aww diddums. Everyone thought it was fair game when Paxman did it to the Prince of Darkness (name escapes me this moment), but pick on the Labour woman and some how its not cricket?

Get real. She's spent her working life in public life - every politician needs a grilling like this once a month to keep them on their toes. If only to entertain the electorate.

And maybe if they were held to closer scrutiny they might think "you know, sending my kid to a private school might be rebound on me".

She's not a white straight male, therefore you can't criticise her.

Same as the BBC focussing their world cup coverage on little brown AIDS orphans, and ignoring the masses of black-on-white murders.

Yeah, I'm taking this view because it's a Labour woman! hehe

"Diane, you were so right to run in this election. You spoke distinct truths to this party that needed to be said and it is important that your voice continues to be heard in the future."

Shame the party didn't agree with Ed!

If she can't even make it into their cabinet, what was the point in having her in the leadership race? Tokenism?

Even more so, she didn't make into a cabinet vote where they were forced to vote for women. Amazing.

Why does she take on the persona of a cross between an octopus and a sloth when she's on This Week..?

She's Quit "This Week" ?

I thought she failed the Shadow Cabinet test?
Don't like Shrek taking her place though.
She failed to get enough votes but Ed ended up giving her a junior cabinet post. She is now shadow public health minister.

So yes finally off our screens.
