They continue to do well.
"The Times and The Sunday Times increased revenues and profits last year as the online paywall and digital advertising growth more than offset the decline in print.
Annual accounts at Companies House showed that Times Newspapers moved to a £9.6m pre-tax profit in 2018, compared with an £8m loss in 2017.
The report stated that turnover was up 2% year on year to £326.4m, from £319.5m in 2017 – a significant milestone when other news publishers have seen little or no growth as revenues continue to shift to Google and Facebook."

Digital-media is in big trouble elsewhere though as BuzzFeed and the Huffington Post announce cuts resulting in the loss of hundreds of jobs.
Does Journalism Have a Future? In an era of social media and fake news, journalists who have survived the print plunge have new foes to face.
Future of digital journalism in question as BuzzFeed and HuffPost lay off 1,000. Job losses follow sales or cuts at Mic, Refinery29 and elsewhere, but publishing as a whole had already shrunk sharply
Hundreds of jobs are under threat at leading news websites that are facing a competitive onslaught from Google and Facebook. Buzzfeed, the pioneer of the listicle, and Verizon Media, owner of Huffpost, this week warned that deep cuts to their workforces were coming, raising questions over the durability of “free” news websites that fund themselves through digital advertising. Rivals are expected to follow suit in a battle for survival against some of Silicon Valley’s most powerful companies.

Fair play to them, seems I was wrong (although it's taken them nearly 9 years to make it pay off..!). That aside, I still don't even think about The Times at all when reading news and with the online subs accounting for 250k readers it seems they're still singing to a pretty small audience.
Re. HuffPo and Buzzfeed woes - can they even be considered 'journalism'...? Wouldn't bat an eyelid if they shut their doors tomorrow...
