In that short piece he contradicts himself at least twice, so I would dismiss his opinion.
In court the question "What are the odds of two people having the same DNA?" is asked to suggest we're all unique and the evidence is infallible. Ask what the chances of someone making a mistake, or a sample being contaminated are and you will no longer want your DNA on any database.

The elimination sample, at least around four years ago, was kept on the database and not destroyed. This is exactly what happened to my close friend.

As technology keeps moving forward at a very fast pace.
All those retna scanners,finger print scanners and other modes of identification it won't be long before there is a combination scanner as an iphone application.
Just think you could identify your house buglar with your iphone then find out where they live with another application and then go round and deliver your own iphone application on them.

Just did a bit of googling about retina scanners as I was interested as to whether the iphones camera had a high enough resolution.

Wonder if its possible to have a laser type scan that could scan prints of objects.

Why? it won't get on there unless i do something wrong or i get accused of doing something wrong and then and only then will it be on file and if i do ever get accused of doing something wrong it would have to be in and around my own area so it would have to be plausable that i could have done it and not match up to an offence the other side of the country and then if and only i get charged with something that i have not done and for some reason i could not prove my alibi and there was other evidence pointing me to the crime.. then fk me even i would beleive myself gulity. until then !

I very much agree.. But, there are things like Operation Trident.. The one for black on black gun crime, which I understand is there for a reason as they probably have quite alot of intellegence in those areas and alot of the time, or all of the stuff we hear, are black on black gangs etc.

Haha. Then thats when DNA would be proven not to be 99.9% acurate.
Say you robbed a bank in america and used my DNA and i was here working at that same time i would have had a strong alibi to prove it wasn't me then the whole DNA process would have to be looked at again and with that reasonable doubt could not be used in a court.

I'm sure you know what I'm getting at though. I'd question the value of using someones DNA to establish any phenotype like black skin then portraying people expressing that phenotype as a high % of criminals.
