When I was out there I tried getting onto freetibet.com . BBC / CNN / ABC / Fox news etc, but it wouldn't let me.
Western companies operating out there can have a special dispensation (I believe for secure business transactions) and the servers can bypass the Chinese firewalls. In theory it's only Western staff that should be allowed access to such.
I know when I visited our China offices most of the local employess spent their time on the 'real' BBC website.

Chatting to a female friend of mine in China this morning, she thought this thread was rather funny.

The fact she was viewing our websites from a little village outside of HK made me laugh, don't take everything you read in the media is true.

N Korea has threaten physical response to the planned War Games between US & S.Korea forces, due to start on Sunday.

Unlike Iran, who like to talk a lot, N Korea has proven it is willing to back up it's talk with actions.

And, with the recent sinking of the S. Korean warship, which most believe N. Korea was responsible for, the tension between the two (or 3 inc. USA) is already pretty high.

So, more talk.....or a threat will a bit more substance?
well?.....
