600 burglaries, minimum 6 month sentence per offence. So 600 x 6 months = 3600 months (300 years) sentence. Not harsh, just purely consistent with offenders being sent to prison for 6 months for one burglary offence.
That or leave him in room with all 600 of his victims to meter out their own justice.

why, please tell me, after 600 offences hasn't he had his arms cut off?
Don't get me wrong, i'd do it humanely be using a nice machine to go straight through above the elbow and give him some kind of anasthetic, I wouldn't be ridiculous about using a blunt saw.
Why bother with armsDon't get me wrong, i'd do it humanely be using a nice machine to go straight through above the elbow and give him some kind of anasthetic, I wouldn't be ridiculous about using a blunt saw.
between
Just as much fun, probably just as painful & can't breed - Result!!!
Give me one reason why scum like this shouldn't be put to death
He will never reform and will continue to be drain on a society.
For murders I wouldn't want to see the death sentence as there is to much scope for errors but for serial offenders like this where they are in and out of the justice system regularly and have a record as long as your arm just put a bullet in their head.
They won't be missed

Which reminds me
Just how fecking stupid are judges expected to be these days?
Unfortunately (and fortunately in some cases) the judiciary are constrained in the sentences they can award. Sometimes they are quite strong sentences and the scrotes get them over-turned on appeal.Just how fecking stupid are judges expected to be these days?
In all seriousness we need an Habitual Offenders Law.
The first offense could be 6 months, second offense is 2 years, third offense is a full 25 years with no parole.
My BiL had some issues with the law (in Alabama), 2 drug offenses 20 years ago, and if he even virtually jaywalks now he gets the full 25 years. What did he do after his 2nd prison sentence? Reformed and changed his friends.

I like the idea of the habitual offenders sentencing. The three strikes and your out rule does seem a lil crazy if the third offence is minor like jaywalking, or perhaps debt related. The first offense could be 6 months, second offense is 2 years, third offense is a full 25 years with no parole.

I saw a programme aboot the three strikes rule in the USA, I like it and not both at the same time. I would like an adapted rule for the UK.

5 years for burglary - thats a bit stiff.
After 600 offences? Is it fk. Should have been ten years.
5 years for 600 burglaries equates to a mere 3 days per offence!!!

Why don't we employ a 'three strikes and you're out' rule for situation such as this?
600 is (beyond) taking the p!ss.
I think all your comments are just not nice, you've all got a opinion on him from what you have read in the newspaper and what you have seen in the news, i went to school with this boy from a young age, he is a kind person, i know what he has done is wrong and it is fair that he got given this sentence, but at the end of the day he's not a murderer or a rapist, these things he has stolen can be replaced, i know its not nice when someone cheats and steals from you.
he admitted to his offences that he committed, i think its a cry for help that he wanted to be help to stop him offending, and even though they did this, but the police didnt, they followed him, everywhere, kicked his door down, he was on tag, ect. the police didnt give him a chance to live his life and change, when all the time there arresting you for things you havent done.
i think most of your comments on here saying he should be dead ect. is wrong and un justified you dont know him so dont judge him
