That White is a proper snake ain't she ? I mean she said that the men told her they were sent by Taylor and an hour later confirmed she didn't know exactly who the men were . That Facebook stuff was good evidence and it just shows her contempt at every single person that died searching for diamonds
White seemed very shifty. That Facebook page about a 'blood diamond party' was in poor taste and I think Whites PA is going to get sacked over this.

She is suing Ms. Campbell and gets 25% of profits and therefore owed quite a bit.

Trying to get her own back or showing Campbell in poor light when she goes for damages?

I blame the media for constantly raising the profile of these vacuous, vain people and portraying them as celebrities.

She walks up and down in an outfit. Nobody should even know who the fk she is.
She's one of the highest paid models in the world and has been for nearly 20 years. The companies that hire her to model their outfits and appear in their magazines have done so because they like how she looks and what she does and they sell their wares as a result. To pretend that she's a nobody is massively ignorant of the multi $billion industry. Sure she's not the most intelligent human being and far from being the nicest but she's not paid to be those, it's no different from the sort that are paid a fortune to kick a ball about.

I know people pay her thousands because of who she is. I still maintain that it is a self generating industry.

One magazine features her so a designer must have her. more features, more designers then Hello and all those other gossip mags take note and it all goes around and around.

The outfits/designer should be the story not the girl walking in them.

No doubt I am ignorant of this industry. I fear that you could explain it to me with electric cables to my testicles for a year and I still would not get it.

I can't help thinking that if you weren't really paying attention to the news you would probably think that Naomi Campbell was the one on trial. Would we not rather know about the actual crim (allegedly) and how the case is going?

I agree with that.

Also watching a bit yesterday you can understand why these trials go on for years - Arguing the toss over exactly how many bit of paper or whatever.

Just a note: Did we have phone texting in 1997?

Not been following this very closely or read the last 5 pages so excuse my laziness but can someone explain why it matters to the case as to whether he gave Naomi C some diamonds - what's it got to do with his allleged war crimes?

It's to ascertain that HE traded in blood diamonds.

OK, but is that not rather a feeble link. If he was giving them to some soldiers etc...

So he was trading in blood diamonds - so....

Did he steal them, is it a war crime to trade them - I still don't understand?

Celebrities are far more important than dictators.

Taylor is on the back foot here and needs to release a single.

Possibly a duet with Shirley Bassey? biggrin

If he got it to No 1 it would clearly prove he was innocent and would kickstart a daytime TV career.

Long story short: he funded the civil war next door to sieze control of the diamond mines. He sold those diamonds to fund more conflict to obtain more diamonds.

If he didn't trade in diamonds then he can't have been the man behind the man killing all the kids etc.

Yes. SMS was part of the GSM spec from the start, and you could text within your own network. It was somewhere around 1997 that they finally bothered to implement the interconnects so that you could text across the networks. The interconnect was something they just couldn't be bothered to do, and when we kept asking Vodafone it was something that was always being pushed into the future. They just never realised in those days how successful the interconnects would be.

While she's an odd ball....back then why would she know what a "blood diamond" was? I wouldnt have had a clue prior to the movie! I might have thought the way i was given it was dubious but hardly something to put me in court years later!

If she thought they were just dirty old stones surely she'd have just chucked them in the bin on the way out?
