Being a resident of their home country I can confirm that yes, they are very much into cars.
It is very common to hear/see any number of Astons/Ferrari/Lambo full throttle away from the lights on the main street that I live near.
Very entertaining viewing from Starbucks on a Thursday night.

Brilliant... It makes sense really...They are effectively the Arab cousins to the hoodied yoofs in our villages/town centres that have nothing better to do during an evening.They're just marginally better dressed, more wealthy & drive better cars.

Cutting through all the crap of the article, seemingly the noise problem is supposedly a problem to residents.
All night revving and driving around the streets and wheelspinning etc.

I'll never forget the red carrera (sp) GT parked round behind the Italian embassy. Both had UAE plates which I could not read!.
