Apparently tax fraud is estimated to cost us £15m, 10x benefit fraud. Doesn't make for such a vote winning headline though. I'd hoped this govt would put spin before substance like the last one.

Yeah, all those contractors paying themselves 'minimum wage' from their companies to hide it from the tax man. Funny what champagne lifestyle you can get on minimum wage these days.

Yet Shami Chakrabarti of Liberty was pretty much on side with the Government in various interviews today.
Simples.. when you sign on the line for help, you give permission for a credit check..

This could seriously fk up the lifestyle of one family I know about. All on benefits, yet have a family holiday every year. In the Maldives. All inclusive, £20,000 for the six of them. Every year.
Me, envious? You better fking believe it.
How? how does that work? (is there 6 in a house claming, but all working) can you explain, also will a credit report catch them out?

There are some morons getting benifit cheats making an extra £200 a week tileing or cleaning windows to Drug dealers and tax todgers. Show me any benifit cheat going on a trip to the Maldives driving around in £30k BMW's.

And this ridiculous scheme dreamed up by this clueless goverment wouldnt work as most of these benifit/drug dealing tax dodgers pay everything by cash.

I wonder how much of this is a scare tactic. It worked for disability didn't it, announce everyone was going to be re-assessed and a few million withdrew their claims. Might work with this, scare people into stopping claiming.
