I think they're probably right.

Instead of just nuking them properly and getting over with, you (we) would commit ground troups who are only allowed to shoot back if they can see the person firing at them.

I saw the graves on T.V. Some poor b@stard had to go out in the desert with a backhoe digger and dig numerous holes in time for primetime news. hehe

Interesting to read the comments from the first article.

No one seems to really understand that the US soldier is being removed from the theatre of war as time goes on. For instance, why bother having fighter pilots if drones can be manned 24/7 from Las Vegas? No pilot to kill, no body bag, no senior officer visiting a widow, and most importantly, no bad PR. Why bother having a soldier being shot at, if an unmanned drone can take out your target from a fairly invincible position of 20,000 feet?

One part of that article seemed to say

Iran will bomb US bases in other countries, which will ps off those countries and then they'll fight america too.
