Boohoo, you had to pay back the money you fraudulently claimed from every tax payer in the country.

But, oh, look at this. They can just counterclaim it back. Great.

Utter, utter tts. Had the opportunity to attend a "garden party" at Richard Younger-Ross's house on Sunday. Elected not to go as I would have most likely punched him in the back of his head.

I have frequent opportunities to meet this man though so if anyone would like to arm me with some suitable wordage to make him squirm, please feel free. I would come up with something but dare say you lot can do better than me.

They didn't conterclaim, though.

The inquiry told them that according to the rules, they had overpaid and asked if they would like it back.

Something of a non story, even if slightly grubby.
