how about flying a plane full of burning Korans into Mecca?
Can we do the same with the Vatican and the Wailing Wall?
I went to the wailing wall once.

Imagine my embarrassment, turning up with a harpoon gun!

About the same as mine the time I attended a jewish wedding in the hope of seeing a rabbit.
Last Jewish wedding I attended thay said to wear a Kipper

This is a total joke and non story.

Why are the actions of 50 nutters being taken as being of any significance let alone enough to be headline news on pretty much every channel this morning?
Absolutely not a non story when taken in the same context as a certain Danish cartoonist
The media are whipping it up and will sit back and report on the consequences.

If the media weren't giving it the airtime who would know what 50 people of an extreme religious persuasion were up to?
Exactly it's a non story.....or should be any way.

Think about it, one bloke has managed to wind up millions of people into yet another over reacting frenzy. He has world leaders and celebrities condemning his actions and the worlds media going wild for a story so they can report the fallout for the next 1000years. To top it off he hasn't even done anything yet but seems to have the whole worlds bks in the palm of his hands..nuts

ideawoohoo I'm off to the local library.

'Should be' being the key here. Like it or not the press plays a pivotal role in todays mad world and the nutters play it like a fiddle. The fact it would be a non story but for the press is a bit like a tree falling in a wood not making a noise.

The thing is though, if the reaction wasn't so ridiculous then they wouldn't have a story to report. We all know how the media love to wip up a story and sod the repercussions, so long as they can get a scoop and make a few quid.

How about the nutters burning flags in the street and screaming kill all Americans etc etc etc all because of some nut job, surprise everybody for once in their life and turn the other cheek. The more they react, the bigger the target it makes them, why can't they work out this simple fact ?

Why is the answer to everything they don't like or agree with, is to denounce violence on all and sundry? For a religion that professes to be peaceful they have a funny way of showing it at times.

By the way I can't stand any sort of religion which goes for all faiths.smile

Sadly, I suspect, too late. He will be helping the lunatic fringe to convince the naive to strap bombs to themselves for year and years to come.

If this single guys threat to set fire to a few bits of paper is enough to provoke some people to become suicide bombers that he has only serves to highlight what a complete bunch of fking loons they really are that do not deserve anyones respect or tollerance.

We have decended to the point where the world is now running scared of doing anything that might, just possibly offend a muslim.

But the cultural centre's organisers said they had no plans to move it.

Fair play to pastor Terry Jones, this is some of the best trolling I have ever seen.

I don't think he's backed down at all, he's merely used everybody for an ulterior motive, shown everybody up for what they are and played them well.

If he doesn't get what he wants I suspect it will be back to game on.

If he doesn't burn the books there are already others standing in the wings who have said they will do it.

Christians threatened to burn a few korans, but then muslims actually burnt an American flag chanting 'Death to all Christians'.

Religion of peace... yuh sure.

Wow. Flag burning and chest thumping. The next step is quite obviously genocide.

Oh come on, burning La Tricolor is hardly something only Muslims do. Even French Nationalists on strike do that wink

Oh well at least he has seen sense.......for now.

Blame the media for giving it way too much coverage though. Should have been boxed off, ridiculous that it even got to the stage where Obama was getting asked questions about it. Surely he has bigger fish to fry than a guy who only attracts 50 people to his church on a good day.

Still it didn't stop American flags and effigies of the pastor getting burnt elsewhere.
