Maybe she will resign her seat now and retire (assuming she wins tonight, which I am sure she will). I imagine she only stood again because she thought she was going to be Home Secretary tomorrow. Now she probably isn't, it might change things for her.

This ^^^^. I loathe her politics, but mocking the unwell (and she clearly is/has been for a while) is not really on imo.
Mocking her illness is unacceptable but mocking her for being a racist imbecile seems fair game to me.
Agreed. When she had a chance of being home secretary she should be mocked for her dire performance, however I now think she is in need of medical attention.

If she really does have a medical condition then she should drop out now and get the help she needs. You might hate the politics, but she is still a human being.

If she wants us to leave her alone, she should retire from public life.

Has anyone commented on her choice of footwear?

By observation she has two left shoes on .....
Witty
This is a parrot post referencing the post author as having dementia themselves as in suffering from memory loss and not realising the subjects been over the last few pages
Do I get a prize ? It's not good to disassemble and explain a joke but sometimes things fly over peoples heads you see

Anyway
Whatever lack of ability I believe Dianne Abbot has I do think there is something medically wrong. If it is early dementia / Alzheimer's It is tragic.
My mother got that and it eat away at the person she was. Fortunately she was spared enduring it too long as she passed away

I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
I would add that we are sometimes kept in the dark about politicians health. It was well known in some circles about Charles Keenedys issues yet wasn't made widestream
It's as if there is a media gentlemans agreement not to release such stuff.
If she is ill then she shouldn't be in office,

I was just thinking that perhaps she has a health condition.

Yeah, and managed to get Diane's account to post a photoshop too.

There is a different photo doing the rounds of her wearing a matching pair of shoes, but apparently that's from yesterday and having once worn a matching pair isn't exactly an achievement.
When talking about Diane Abbot I'd suggest it is !

her face looks like my nan who had dementia. She is definitely not all there.
yes I think she's been used as a bit of a puppet, it's time for her to retire from politics and look after herself.

She also has diabetes which could explain tge loss of sensation in her feet with wrong shoes on. I have no doubt she is ill

At this stage of course, any illness is just speculation. I agree that mockery should stop if that is found to be the case, however pending any announcement she is, simply, an imbecile.

Why did 75% of the people of Hackney North that got out and voted, vote for her? Just for the lolz? I can't really think of another reason to.

More importantly, how did she get through crossing her name correctly on the 50,000 ballots she posted? No wonder she forgot how shoes work.

I mean boot, but you're quite right. Metropolitan Labour MPs would probably use shoe
