... "she can't be that thick to have got into Cambridge". I have to say that I have difficulty understanding how - from what I have seen of her - she got into any higher education establishment. Does anyone know? Did she get in on some minority ticket? Or is she in fact really bright but just comes across on TV as being thick as mince? I don't get it.
That's a really interesting question. I understand that she read History under Simon Schama, which would suggest that she is a long way from being thick. How therefore does she manage to come across as she does now?

The only answer I can see is that she has never been seriously challenged on either her stance or her views. She has been allowed (or allowed herself) to believe that she is correct in what she says and beyond reproach, either because of her gender or because of her colour. Her party and the current party leader have perpetuated this and any criticism of her is deemed to be solely because of these factors and can therefore be dismissed. This has proved completely corrosive and we can see the end result.

It's when the interviewer asks (and I've seen this on other interviews with her) "have you read the report?" and she says she has, and it's plain as day that she hasn't even looked at it. It's like dealing with a lying 8 year old child who hasn't done their homework. That's the intellectual level she appears to have. It's horrendous.

How does she get voted in as MP for Hackney? Oh I know - any clown can stand for Labour and they'd get voted in.

The story on Abbott’s son has legs we need to know why he no longer works at the foreign office and what caused this outburst of aggression.

I checked his LinkedIn profile earlier in the year and he was on a placement at the British Embassy in Rome learning Italian.

Nice work if you can find it..

I have wondered if there is a personality disorder there.

He should be facing jail time if this has anything to go by....

"Man who bit police officer is first person to be jailed under new law to protect emergency workers"

More likely it is the fact that her history degree was a very long time ago and she hasn't done anything intellectually challenging since. The brain needs to be exercised after all.

Add in as well possible signs of early onset dementia and you have how she comes across in interviews.

I was wondering this too. It's the sort of position where you have to do something pretty rotten to get sacked rather than shunted off to a broom cupboard and kept out of mischief.

Wonder what it was and wonder how it was kept quiet.

No, I think 2Btoo has it.

You really don’t need to be that smart to read history at Cambridge.

But if it is EOD, wouldn’t even the Labour Party have removed her from their ‘front line’?

Yep, just requires one to read the newspapers a day later.

When it comes to maths, it is easy to mock her for a mistake during that interview. But not only did she study History at Cambridge she also studied applied mathematics. During her time as a researcher, she made several breakthroughs which don't get the credit they deserve. Did you know that whilst studying binary she discovered the first 2?

Classic, Priti Patel now promising to look at doubling sentences again for people that assault emergency workers (or bite police officers).

Someone really really needs to track down Diane and ask her whether this should apply to her boy or not.

yes Just the usual: a couple of anti-Trump stories, including the apparent impending breakup of NATO. The incessant, constant digs at anything American or non-left views are becoming ridiculous....
hehe
Still nothing. Seems like she's done nothing newsworthy in the BBC's book since October when Woman's Hour did an interview on what a trailblazer she was hehe

How this woman got anywhere near the Shadow cabinet is anyones guess. It has to be one of three reasons

- she used to be Jeremy Corbyn bit on the side.

- she makes the rest of them look more intelligent.

- she ticks all the boxes in terms of gender and race.

That's known fact is it not? Jeremy invited all his mates to look at her in bed to prove how diverse he is or something.
