I do my utmost to ignore/not buy any product or service with the word "ECO" emblazened on it - not because I don't care, on the contrary, I do - but the 'marketing' of this 'Green' con is sickening, if not a little ironic.

The Clever Bloke is right.
The whole greenhouse argument is flawed.

Firstly the earth has no glass cover. The glass in a greenhouse does not reflect heat back in, it stops the warm air escaping. That's why greenhouses heat up, and the earth doesn't.

Why so much mirth, Frankeh?

Are you privy to some facts that we are otherwise unaware of, that proves MMuGW is anything other than a myth?

Or do you swallow everything that is fed to you by the MSM and the various greenslime agencies and ecomentalists?

It's a fair point V88Dicky and flippant replies to posts like yours don't work any more.

Greenhouses have a glass roof that prevents convection. The analogy with the non-existent manmadeup warming scam is tenuous.

Then again as warmists never remove their radiative transfer blinkers, which would allow them to see beyond the invisible non-impact of tax gas, that's not a big surprise.

You're right TB, I'm gradually losing the will to keep up the argument with the True Believers. Its like trying to tell a church-goer there is no God!

We do that from time to time too. It's not very productive.

The position of manmadeup warming is that it's non-existent which is I suppose why it has to be made up.

I'm in the perfect position.
I can laugh if it all turns out to be bullst hysteria and I can accept it gracefully if it turns out to be true.

Sometimes you don't have to take sides, and this is certainly true when your opinion doesn't matter.

It's probably more important for people like scientists and politician to take sides and if I ever become one of them, I'll make sure to take a side. wink

so you'd laugh at all the tax hikes you'd been hit with?

Tax hikes discussed in previous pages post.
Essentially I wouldn't mind them even if MMGW is a myth IF they were actually going to R&D on alternative fuels.
Unfortunately, I don't think that's the case.
