How would you translate this ? The German Spiegel magazine translates this to 'cuts'. rofl

http://www.spiegel.de/fotostrecke/fotostrecke-6152...

Their reporters need some teaching I think. hehe

There are no more free gifts left. Those student tossers should learn this in their first lesson at uni.

A shame it turned a little messy fuelled by the idiots but it`s nice to see them taking a stand regarding getting boots on the street to express their dis-satisfaction with the current tutition fee scandal.

I'm willing to bet a good proportion of those causing the trouble are anarchists/far left types just attaching themselves to any demo in the hope some trouble might break out.

Anyone hiding their face should have been given the choice of removing the covering item of clothing or being arrested.
It really is time to get tough with these thugs.
There you have why the police are holding back. People with views like this.

Are you talking about the police or the students?
There were no Police hiding their faces whatsoever. However, there were quite a few morons who were covering their faces, for what reason? To evade identity when causing criminal damage. These should have been immediately arrested.

So what is your point?

I'm obviously missing something but the news showed 3-4 people kicking in a window whilst the Police stood right next to them watching. Why didn't they arrest them there and then for criminal damage?

Why weren't they storming the Labour offices when THEY introduced student top up fees?

Typical excuse for an anti (Tory) Government riot. Tossers.

I did see a couple of anarchist signs daubed about. Like going back to the 1980s

bks, I thought they looked like little kids as they walked past my office.

Well fed, not an impoverished one amongst them!

Very few attractive girls which was a shame. I suggest they switch protests to the summer when skimpier outfits would be more prevelant.

As for the fee thing...about time to. Might keep some of the pikeys, chavs and dopeheads out of 'uni' doing a BA in colouring in or something.

Get a degree because you need a degree and respect that it takes hard work, commitment and effort, plus a financial burden for the future. It is not everyone fking right to go to university!

Just watching on the news. Absolute s. Give the police flamethrowers.

To be honest though, most of the people I'm seeing at Millbank Tower look like they can't write let alone get a degree.

Protests are allowed in this country because we have a system of freedom of speech and I completely agree we should retain this freedom but it's not called the freedom to smash things up and scare innocent people.

This is criminal damage/rioting and if it was a football crowd the police would be using the full weight of weaponary at their disposal including horses, dogs, cs gas and batons but because they'd be an outcry by do-gooders and hand-wringers if this happened to the students (mummy and daddy in suburbia doesn't wish to see their angelic offspring getting a well aimed baton to the legs) they are holding back. They have the powers to order people to remove items covering their faces and this should also be used. People tend to be a little less fighty when they can easily be recognised and then prosecuted later on. A protest is one thing but this has gone beyond that and should be treated as such.

oh dear frown

ITV NEWS

I hope they catch all the little sts, I fking hate students, I hated them when I was a student and I still hate them now.

This is ridiculous, and the police will be scared to fight back in case someone has a heart attack.

10 minute warning, then shoot

Or drive at them with the police vans....

Go get a fking job...

Hope all the police are ok

Of course. Up to A levels. Then pay your way. It's not like you have to hand over pound notes is it!

A BIG plus 1.
In addition, how about the stuff dished out by police in other countries in response to similar behaviour? We are TOO soft here
