It's borderline sicko behaviour to be a 57 year old grown man praying on 17 year old girls imho
I would guess that you are either quite young and/or female if you think as a guy gets older he stops having an eye on the girls he fancied in his younger days.

It's no different in the animal world either where the males mate anything younger until they drop dead.

The only difference in the human world is humans usually care or worry what others think whereas animals don't give a fk.

I'm not young. Or female. And the girls I fancied in my "younger days" were twelve. They are children. Even seventeen is still a pretty much a child.

There is a massive difference between an ambitious young model seeking out a Stringfellow or Heffner or Ecclestone to further their career and an old pervert seeking out or grooming vulnerable young girls.

Which situation do you think this is?

I don't know what the situation is/was so I'm not voicing an opinion on it.

BTW you don't start a sentence with 'And'

You can. And I did.

Get back to the topic.

It's a barbaric thing to do to soneone. Back in October a 73 year old man suffered an assault in Ireland in which he was castrated. He died of injuries inflicted by a poker and pliers. Really dreadful stuff.

PistonHeads - where idiotic macho posturing matters.

How interesting disturbing to see so many people sympathising with a lunatic who (almost) committed an "honour killing".

Well, now they've been told off by a condescending tt I'm sure they'll change their opinions.

Who is this condescending tt? Not gareth as his post was pretty much on the money IMO.

This is the kind of thing you'd have expected to have had an "honour" element to, the only difference being those involved arent them brown muslimy type folks.

Sorry, but he's disturbed that people don't share his views? He needs to get over himself.

There has been a range of views on this thread, I'm undecided as to me it depends on the actual situation (see above) as to which camp I'm in. The one constant though, has been a total absence of sympathy for the old bloke, which I rather agree with.

Because it's a conjunction, and implies that there was a sentence preceding it, that is connected to the sentence following the use of the word 'And'.
You should have just asked "Why not?"

It is not grammatically correct. You would never find a journalist writing a Hard bit of news starting a sentence with 'And'. smile

It's similar to saying "I completely forgot to bring my Towel"

I think opinion on the matter would vary depending if you had a daughter and her age. I think people who find said punishment a bit harsh may think differently if they had a 17 year old daughter.

For all we know the father could have been a top surgeon and did a pretty decent castration wink

Typical of the kind of crap that infests this place now. Disagree with me and you are a tt?!

If you have raised a 17 year old who wants to shag over 50s I would contend that the real problem lies an awful lot closer to home.

But hey, im just someone who doesn't agree with cutting someone's balls off for doing something I don't approve of, which is still legal, so flame away rolleyes

Edit for the hard of thinking: This does not mean that I am not disgusted by the eunuch's actions either

No, but being condescending does. I'm not even sure I disagree with him; we don't know enough to really decide.

The 57 year old man having sex with 17 year old girl is perfectly legal, he was doing nothing wrong. Just because you don't like the idea of your daughter having sex with a 57 year old, doesn't exactly make forced castration a suitable punishment. I guess you'd be happier if your 17 year old daughter had sex with 17 year old Heroin addict?

I have a daughter (although not 17)

I find it a bit harsh

Bit only a little bit wink
