Ever thought about the fact they just need a job and a public body had one on offer? I have doubts a capitalist would avoid a decent paying salary with a public body if it was on offer.

The baby boomers will enjoy lavish state care from cradle to grave. The young will work longer, pay more tax and get less services.

Its one of the very few things that I agree on, thats because I am one of the so called baby boomers. Enjoying a great life, nice pension, house all paid for, two great adult offspring in good and very very good employment, fabulous wife. secondly its all well and good wanting a small council but a lot of the people getting redundant will probably be doing jobs that many people consider important like adult and child social care

You forget that the benefit claimants that irk you the most are the ones already claiming the max (or probably even more). I suspect this 'benefit bus' advises the pensioners who decide to turn the heating off instead of claiming what they're entitled to.
