Apparently the Top Gear Xmas Show is drawing complaints (front page of one of the tabloids tomorrow apparently) from Muslims because Clarkson wore a Burka. rolleyes

I watched Top Gear yesterday and thought it was bloody hilarious!

And Hamster and May wore them.
AND they drove into Syria and Israel wearing them - nobody objected there! In fact, people queued to get their autographs.

Why do we cowtow to these infidels on our shores? Bugger off!
We wanna have a laugh... we'll have one!

The tabloids are vey adept at finding people of all kinds only too ready and willing to voice their disgust at whatever they asre presented with.

Plus ca change....

I bet three nutters complained and the media (for some inexplicable reason) has decided to give them the time of day.

I imagine that 99% of Muslims didn't give a toss, and I suspect that 99% of the UK population won't give a toss about the fact that 1% of Muslims gave a toss.

Unless these infidels have many camels they should be ignored. In fact, I throw an imaginary shoe at them!

First thing I've heard to make me want to keep paying the license fee in a while! biggrin

If there was nothing for these serial complainers to moan at do you think it would make them very unhappy?

A minority are made to look the majority - nobody thinks all Germans are Nazis.

So how many of Britain's 2million+ Muslims actually complained?

If you mean the daily star article I assume you read it and see they have trawled the net looking for the most tenuous comment on twitter and other sites.

Then they claim top gear has sparked another storm. Erm well no, 3 comments on twitter that you spent hours trying to find a storm does not make.

What a load of crap that show was, 3 millionaires doing the same stuff they always do that was humourous first time round, but now just so predictable. Can't see Top Gear surviving much longer. I wonder how much that load of crap actually cost us?

I laughed when Clarkson said "now we've come to the part of the show where viewers who are interested in cars can switch off" as if there had been anything remotely interesting up to that point! An ageing comedy farce, yes, a car show, no.

Somebody complains about Clarkson after every episode, they usually stay in the TV & Radio forum though.

EDIT- Well would you look at that?

Wrong thread, and 48 hours late. Must try harder.

It's "played out" because of the continuing (wasn't it an election promise to stop this) war on motorists.

That's why they can't do "st" like that in the UK and why they have curtailed "performance" on the UK roads.

Remember the last IOM wet road tests??

Don't blame the presenters.

Start at the fking BBC and work upwards.

A load of crap... BUT you watched it!!
It's death knell has been sounded... every year!
It's 'entertainment'... it's meant to be.

I don't know about anyone else, I'm bored of the format of the show.

Still, I do agree with your sentiment generally

YES, but it's still a small flame in the darkness of grey uniformity.
