Aside, makes you wonder why Fiat never did a right-hand drive Barchetta for the UK? A rare sight might have become a more common one. I remember when it was launched the Fiat dealer round here sold a few left-hand drive examples, and there were conversions to rhd.

They could have done with the Hamster praise then.

Anyone who's into religious extremism regards TV watching as a sin (Haram). How did they find out about this in the first place? Unless of course they are secretly watching Top Gear like a Catholic priest secretly flicking through a porn mag and finding it excitingly repulsive?
I expect The Daily Mail phoned up and told him.
and then set up a twitter account with him approving.

and write a complaint to the fcc and president ahmedinijad.
Indeed. I very much suspect that someone at the tabloid who is paid to scrawl lies and deciet to meet the paper's aganda was watching it and realised that this was his Christmas paid for just as soon as he'd written about how the whole of murderous and cruel Islam were up in arms and coming to kill all our children.

People really must stop reading these tabloids. biggrin

As with the Russell Brand sacking for his Radio 2 incident, the average person who would take offence would never be watching/listening in the first place to be offended.
It's down to a tabloid arse wipe rag to think it's a good story to say people are offended even though they go to print before anyone has stuck their hand up and made a complainant. As per RB, they rely on people reading and saying 'I'm outraged ! I didn't watch it but I read about it and I want to complain about something I never watch or listen too anyway'.
Anyone with half a brain knows its a complete non-story if they got Anjem Choudry to give his view - that right there killed any credibility a complaint may have had.

Clarkson didnt phone all the muslims up and leave what many would think was a rather abusive answer phone message . . . . . . . Brand deserved to be sacked.

In this case, as many others have already stated, it's just a tiny group of vocal loons who are complaining about light entertainment TV.

I've no issue being on a list, but I'll be damned if I'm going on any list which also contains Kerry Katona.

I'm afraid you will have to run two lists or I'm oot.

Anyway, I thought Jesus rode an ass? Pretty sure I recall one of the Disciples spanking Jesus' ass? Although I may be getting confused with some specialist DVDs biggrin

So far this is something of a non story. Where are all the complaints to which the OP refers.
The best the Mail could come up with was:

Mail Online said:
Islamic activist Anjem Choudary, said: 'The burka is a symbol of our religion and people should not make jokes about it in any way.
Burka is cultural not religious, their is no mention of it in the kuran... Has he not seen monty pyphon - Life of brian, I think this guy needs to lighten up.

How funny, Anjem Choudry is offended at men dressing as woman. But preaching racial hatred appears to be ok by his standards!!! utter utter tosser!!

I thought the TG Christmas special was reasonably entertaining, not as good as the Vietnam one imho.

Merry Christmas all

I bet three nutters complained and the media (for some inexplicable reason) has decided to give them the time of day.

I imagine that 99% of Muslims didn't give a toss, and I suspect that 99% of the UK population won't give a toss about the fact that 1% of Muslims gave a toss.
Well said, and I agree. Tabloids pick up on small insignificant things like this and make a story out of it.

As for people leaving the country - well, the OP should bugger off out of this country for being an ignorant prick. Why should muslims leave the UK? What if those muslims are born in this country? What if these muslims have ancestors that fought for Britain in previous wars? What if they were christians who converted to islam?

You dont have the right to tell no one to leave the country because they stop you 'from having a laugh'.

I sit next to a Muslim guy at work, he thinks these people like Choudry are nasty little tossers that should be offered the choice of either a one way ticket to ****istan of choice or a 9mm hole somewhere fatal.
It gets blokes like my colleugue bad press etc.

Had a very interesting discussion with him recently as to how alike all the major religons are and that the prophets are pretty much the same, story the same and Jesus and Allah are the same. Very interesting chat even though I don't believe in all that stuff

Yep there is lots of good muslims, just like their are lots of good christians, jews, sikhs, atheists etc. If one person from a particular religion (or group) says something offensive to others, then the intelligent amongst us should realise that this does not mean everyone from that religion or group share the same opinions.

Thus, the use of senences like 'muslims should go back to their country', or 'muslims don't know the history of their religion' implies that all muslims are included into the comment.

I think one should not make a decision on a group of people by listening to views of the minority.

PS: Allah is the arabic word for 'god'. Arab Christians refer to god as Allah too (and quite rightly so).
