Do these plums realise that half the people are watching on Sky+ (or similar) and fast forwarding the ads?
The numbers on sky are no where near 50% and those watching "unlive" via sky plus even less. And for those that do they now have ads with less editing so you can still see what the ad is for even at high speed.

According to someone in the know, there is tech coming that will be able to tell if the programme is watched, or recorded (f they don't have this already). If the programme is recorded then the provider will then be able to tell if the ad has been watched or skipped. The advertiser will pay according to how many people watched the ad live, and an additional amount for those who watched the ad on the recording (which I would imagine would not be many).

...rate chargable for audience footprint ..."station bumper/sponsor ident" in and out and a trailer in the break.
Can someone out there please translate this into Her Majesty's English? tubbystu said:
...rate chargable for audience footprint
Audience size by demographic. Number of % of target viewers watching. Ads are cleverly placed when they perceive the right audience should be watching. The rate chargeable for the audience footprint is obviously different for both the perceived audience size and demographic grouping for an X Factor broadcast compared to say a Countdown broadcast. tubbystu said:
"station bumper/sponsor ident"
Those annoying, brought to you by, or sponsored by psuedo ads. The audience is supposed to think "oh those nice people at ******** have helped make this programme". Causing a warm glow ( and I mean glow ok)toward the advertiser.tubbystu said:

If two of these sponsor ads are either side of just a programme trailer rather than ads. HTH
And JFTR I do not work in advertising, but have some occasional involvement in TV production so can speak the speak. Sorry.
