As a vocal critic of everything from Margaret Thatcher’s Tories to bankers’ bonuses, Billy Bragg has rubbed a few people up the wrong way. But now the left wing singer-songwriter has become the victim of a hate mail campaign.

Feel sorry for him - yes the landscaping on the south side of his manor definitely needs more work me thinks.

He doesn't have one. He has an underground pipe that connects him straight to Reims.

Thats the big thing on the left that looks like a garage with the corridor leading to it. The garage door is to make it easier for lorries to unload it.

I am not one to decry people enjoying the fruits of their labours as a rule but I have a very strong sense of ‘Animal Farm ‘ about Mr Bragg’s view on socialism.

Aside from his socialist rantings, I'm actually rather fond of Mr Bragg's music. No idea why. boxedin

However, I have to say he [has gone down in my estimations. I can only echo the quote in the article.

The Mash said:
Tom Logan, a man who thinks New England is quite good, said: "I always imagined he lived in a terrace in a moderately gentrified part of east London, surrounded by people from a variety of cultures that he would 'jam' with.

"And I assumed that he would keep just enough money to live a simple life and give the rest to poor people or small circulation magazines about struggles.

"I have to say that the sheer heft of Mr Bragg's house has come as something of a shock."

Yep, it's a measure of the gullibility of the voting population that they are manipulated by such individuals.

Blair and Mandelson are only the latest in a long line who've milked the left for all it's worth. Just Google for Scargill's London flat for proof of that.
