Also he's (Eric Illsley) parliamentary advisor to the Caravan Club which says something.
I believe it says he gets money from them in exchange for promoting their interests.Just listening to Talksport I cannot beleive that one of the presenters thinks this punishment is harsh. FFS has he watched the video on the bbc website of the incident - the guy hangs over the edge with the FE before dropping it, taking aim. He could not guarantee that it would not hit someone or that someone would walk into its path when he released it.
Surely at the point of releasing it there must have been something going on in his brain to say that this was wrong. You cannot use the excuse of being pis%£$d or I am sorry afterwards.
No one has fd up his life except himself. Thankfully he didn't screw someone else up in the process.
More sentences like this please.

I doubt he could have foreseen just how badly this would screw up his life. Just about to sit his 'A' Levels, even if he continues to study and takes them I doubt the results will be as good as they might have been. University? With a record? There goes any prospect of a decent career then. Best he can hope for is to go back to the New Forest and make a living carving ornaments out of fallen timber sympathetically collected from the woods or similar. I did read in t' Times that he wanted to be a copper.
Wonder if those on the wanted list are starting to pucker a bit?

mop haired retard quickly regretting what he'd done said:
"When I was told I had potentially endangered people, I felt sick. I was absolutely not intending that anyone in any way would be hurt."
What a crock. What exactly DID he intend, then? That Superman would fly past and pluck the hefty projectile from the air in the nick of time? Nice to see a decent punishment handed down, one that will haunt him for a good few more years after the sentence is over. I suppose he will also be on a lifetime 'terrorist' list as well and now be watched all his life.
Cannot expect any future employment can he? The dick really has screwed his life up.
As for the Royal car attackers I expect they will be made an example of. Suspect either heavy sentence or put away under some mental act.

Has someone already been nicked for this? They must be building bungalows.I'm guessing Mum isn't his favourite person right now either.
"C'mon love. If we go down and see that nice Sgt Green in the local cop shop I'm sure we can get this sorted out without any fuss or bother,"
One trip back up to London later, 2 & 1/2 years having his bum reamed out. Cheers Mum! Thanks for that!

My response was curt because I really couldn't care less how much he has cocked his life up (thanks for spelling it out, but it's of no consequence). You were verging on sounding sympathetic to him.
Like I said, tough st. Let's have more justice like this.
Weel you know what assumptions are, don't you? Maybe my last sentence wasn't a big enough clue.Like I said, tough st. Let's have more justice like this.

I'm not particularly sympathetic to him, and I believe the sentence is about right. However, I think it is entirely possible that he didn't intend for the extinguisher to land on anybody. I'm not defending him, what he did was very stupid, but that's what people do, especially young ones, they do stupid things. In his case his reward was a severe punishment, and that's entirely appropriate, but more for the message it sends to others than for his own benefit.Like I said, tough st. Let's have more justice like this.
