Can't find a link to it, but just been watching Ed making a speech at the Fabian Society on Sky news.
Legend, absolute legend.
He can stay as Labour leader for the next decade at least please.
Myself and OH were actually in tears.
Somebody find the link. Please. It's worth watching rofl

I don't know why, but he always seems to me to be playing the role of a politician rather than actually BEING a politician. It's hard to describe.

No, this time he was attempting to play the part of Eric Morecombe.
It's there on Sky as a news item but no video frown

+1 what I always detect is he just says what ever he thinks his immediate audience want to hear. He's so phoney, I don't hear any core principles, he just plays to the audience. He has no substance. I fear he would be a terrible PM and has been reported in the past (when a minister) that he can't make a decision. all mouth no trousers.

'And I want to start by paying tribute to someone to whom we owe an enormous debt. As Harriet Harman said at Cabinet after he resigned, there are millions of people up and down this country and across the world whose lives have been changed for the better because of his commitment to social justice and we all owe him a debt of gratitude. That person is, of course, Gordon Brown and I think we will all want to thank him for what he did."

Well at least he included the words "enormous debt" and "Gordon Brown" in the same sentence.

He could be a union spokesman, thats basically what he's been doing for the last few months anyway.

Matched perfectly with his Shadow Chancellor.

I doubt the pair of them could find their way out of a paper bag...

I still think he is keeping the seat warm for his brother. No point putting David in too early as it would be pointless to let him 'peak' before his time, so wait for four years and then watch a change of leaders.

Then it will be the usual bullst of 'give him a chance to prove himself' crap.

Nope, that's not it.
Looked on Sky website again now - and there's a short excerpt of video only, combined with the political pensioners reporters comments. No screwups are shown.
What they had on this morning was the full speech, televised live. Someone at Sky dropped the ball there I think.
Really needs to be seen to be believed. He can't do humour, he can't do speechs, christ he couldn't even find his glass of water, fumbling under the lectern for what seemed like an age.
Mumbling about being 6 years old during the winter of discontent, contradicting himself time and time again. Horrific. There wasn't a murmour from the audience for most of it, either they were asleep or just stunned at the car-crash-embarassment of his public speaking ability.
Cameron must be wetting himself.

Was it Ed who claimed that he wanted to remove all CO2 from the atmosphere? Or was it someone else? For some reason I think it was him......apologies if wrong laugh

I think it was. I remember a BBC programmme with Miliband stating (when he was 'climate change' secretary), where he insisted he was going to spend [most of the UK's GDP] on carbon capture plants - and this would create 'Green' jobs, and we'd all live happily ever after.

Twonk!

I believe a plant which captures carbon is more commonly known as a "tree".

I think their purpose is that of useless caretakers, so when they(Labour) wheel out the slighty more apealing smirking creep Balls and his horrid champagne socialist
wife the faithfull and the floating voters will be impressed....

The irony is, if we have an election tomorrow Ed would have a good chance of leading his party to victory. Just goes to show that the electorate really do get the leaders they deserve.
