Sadly passed away at 72.

For certain ten year old Battle of Britain fans she introduced us to the alure of female undergarments.

Heard about it on the way to work this morning. Hard to suppress a tear - she was not only lovely, but a splendid actress. RIP indeed - one of the best.
Sorry - can't do a smilie - can't get on 'em at work.

I was sad to hear this, I couldn't believe she was 72, where has time gone? yikes
A gorgeous looking lady, a wonderful actress, and by all accounts a thoroughly nice and decent human being.

RIP Susannah.

To my mind, one of the few who could compete with Audrey Hepburn for looks.

The Telegraph obit says the Battle of Britain appearance became a "famous role"

Image 2 is nicer. There was a photo in the paper of Susannah as S/O Maggie Harvey, but not in the on line edition

With your username, I can't help thinking the biggest killer in your family is an immune system disease caused by HIV eek

This is how best I will remember her. Priceless, and her performance when she was upset by the death of all those WAAFS was the tops.
