To those who are sure Obama is indeed a 'lame duck', he's available at the betting exchanges as favourite to be next president (at 10/11). Lay away and make yourself some cash.
Obama will win again in all likelihood. He has rebounded nicely and even when his poll numbers were low they still showed that he would win when opposed by Palin, Romney, Pawlenty et al...... The GOP have nobody who is anywhere near credible as an alternative. Jimbeaux said:

Well, Obama is months away from winning in Cuba, something that 52 years' worth of presidents have failed to do. As it turns out all that he had to do was be nice. Mad eh?
Winning what? Tadite said:

I think the Republican party is going to reap what they have sown at the next election. The Tea Party has taken over the GOP and I don't think the nation sees Palin as presidential. So unless something happens to make Clinton run in the primary, I think he'll make it to two terms.
Once more for the slow; Palin will not even be nominated. If you rely on your news to fill you in on this, you are missing out. She is a crowd pleaser, a warmup act for a main event.Jimbeaux, I know nothing about it, but I have a friend who's convinced that Palin will be next president, which normally I wouldn't take much notice of but he's got a reputation of being usually correct. He correctly predicted Ed Milliband to beat his brother in the Labour leadership battle, even though David was a massive odds on favourite.
Palin is currently trading as 2nd favourite to be the republican nominee, and is third favourite to be next president.
Just curious as to why you feel so sure she won't do it, and in which case who will?

Who are the likely possible runners for Republican and Democrat or is there a good dummies guide link to the runners?
Have to wonder how different things might have been (if at all) if Billary or McCain had won the race to 1600 Pensylvania avenue

Of course there's a saying... "It takes a Carter to get a Reagan".
Just what you need, a president who cannot remember his name or whether he has shat himself 5 minutes ago. Perhaps that should read, it takes a Cinton to get a bush jnr..... Shudder....... Either way, deceitful, sociopathic politicians are one of the few constants in the world along side taxes and death, changing the colour of said politician or allegiance is not going to make much of a difference to the final outcome.
Long time no see Jim, doing okay ?

Last time I made a spelling error I was called a f****** c*** is it still OK to rant off in some sort of crazed fury at the OP that has also made a spelling error in his thread title, I wonder?
Considering he was pulled up on that twice on the first page, I do think your outrage on page 4 is probably a bit late. Someone even posted a picture of a hippo!Anyway, live it up.
(Can I call you a "f****** c***" for a punctuation error? )

Nonsense. You were bleating about 'falling values', but employing a fallen standard of English in the bleat. Y'know....highlighting the speck in his eye whilst ignoring the beam in your own. Y'know....what's it called... ....hippocrissy.Edited by groan on Friday 21st January 11:50
