Quite apart from the TG thing, I loved this paragraph in Coogan's article
"I've been fortunate enough to work with the likes of Peter Baynham, Armando Iannucci, Chris Morris, Simon Pegg, Julia Davis, Caroline Aherne, Ruth Jones, and the Mighty Boosh – some of the funniest and most innovative people in British comedy. And Rob Brydon too."

TG really needs to be legallt challenged for masquerading as a tv show about cars these days under trade descriptions. Rather watch Fifth Gear or read Evo than watching these below par stand-up comedians
I bet you'll still watch it though.343bhp said:

I presume your TV set has other channels beside BBC2 at 8pm each Sunday, or is that the only one you can watch, no matter what buttons you press on the remote control? Thanks for the vapid comment - next time, keep it to yourself. Don't feel that you're compelled to share everything with us, you're not!

What I object to is them scripting every feature then trying to pass it off as spontaneous or whacky. Ooh, the car's broken down! Oh, the wheel's just fallen off. We've been nabbed by a copper, the car's stuck in the mud, etc. etc. Yes, don't sound so surprised, it's in the script you wrote. I know it's been done for ever on TV but I'd rather have a straight talking show that strives to inform rather than one that's desperate to entertain and show off the presenters' egos.Pesty said:
18,000 people have been killed since 2006 due to drug cartel wars in mexico and that just the ones they know about.
God knows how many old mine shafts are full of dead bodies they have not found yet.
have they not got more serious things to worry about?

Nice touch how he mentioned Ruth Jones (Babycow makes Gavin & Stacey) but left out Corden!"I've been fortunate enough to work with the likes of Peter Baynham, Armando Iannucci, Chris Morris, Simon Pegg, Julia Davis, Caroline Aherne, Ruth Jones, and the Mighty Boosh – some of the funniest and most innovative people in British comedy.
