Was thinking the exact same thing(bet she hit the pies in depression though)
Anyway, off topic, when are the Americans going to stop deluding themselves that they are still living in the land of the free?

The scary thing is I wouldn't be at all suprised if the same thing could happen here I don't have a facebook account, can't be arsed with it - there is however a fake one of me that was set up by a mate in a "hilarious" joke, as it was set up by someone who knows me I'm told they managed to populate it with quite convincing info (I've never actually seen it so wouldn't know). So far I've pretty much ignored it as it's one of those peurile little jokes that will no doubt become boring and they will drop drop it, it has to be said though that stories like this do make me wonder whether it could actually cause me problems?KaraK said:

Georgia - what a surprise. It's still illegal here for supermarkets/liquor stores to sell alcohol on a Sunday.
Wow. What a great country....oh, and don't drink too much as it can make you go blind. And, yes, the shotguns are normal.
not that I've ever actually done any of that anywhere near Columbus, Georgia in my younger and stupid days

There's a lot of calories in alcohol, escpecially Guinness.
198 calories per pint. Which is less than allot of lagers.Back OT, never underestimate how puritanical Merrykins are about alcohol. Even in the more enlightened parts of the USA - the big, cosmopolitan cities - they are very funny with it and in the hayseed towns, well...
I remember my dad asking for a beer with his lunch in a diner somewhere in the midwest. The look the waitress gave; you'd think he'd announced he was the antichrist.
