How many "previously thoughts" are we in now?

So far, it's seems to be worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which is worse than previously thought, which was what they thought.

If an employee of mine was making these kind of continuous calculation errors and had to keep fudge factoring, their P45 would land on their desk sooner than previously thought.

Despite the revisions, the overall warming signal has not changed. The scientists say it has remained at about 0.75C (1.4F) since 1900.
So what they are saying is that since 1900 the climate has been 0.75C hotter (than some unspecified time before).

Is that the best they've got?
Seriously - billions spent and that's all they have to say?

0.75C?

In 100 years?

Adjusted to take in "warmer" stations?

So that's 1C per century.

Hardly catastrophic.

And neither political nor pseudoscientific will has namaged to magic a causal link to humans out of a hat. The best that the IPCC can do, after admitting some years ago that there is no visible causal human signal in climate data and that they had no idea when it would appear (read: not at all likely) is to recognise their 'mistake' and retreat into made-up percentages of belief in their own faith. Clearly this approach has been sufficient for believers and politicians but less so on the political front over time as at least some green nonsense based on climate junkscience is being rolled back.

verytime I see an article like that, I am NOT thinking "oh my god, we're all going to die". I am thinking, oh so before when you made a prediction you actually had no idea what you were talking about. But rather than admit you have no idea of what you are talking about, you now make another prediction. Why do you think this one is any more credible than the last one you made?

Easy. Cover science in political whitewash and it has whiter than white correctness, true from first principles.

It's a Louise press release cut-and-paste job. What can one expect?

They are probably a bit confused.
You know these solar cells popping up everywhere?
The subsidised solar cells?
Subsidised by taxpayers?

Well people in council houses are now enjoying free electricity too now, I found out from a mate who lives in one.
I'm such a stupid idiot for getting a job and paying tax.
God I feel so dumb.
Yep that's happening round our way too. All the HA houses have solar cells on them now.

They've also completely re-roofed all of them while they were at it. So that's new felt, batons and tiles. There seemed to be nothing wrong with the existing roofs so I assume it was something to do with having to hang those new cells off them. All the ex-HA places still seem to be able to keep the elements out.

How much extra plant gas was released manufacturing the new tiles then?

India and China revolt against EU Aviation C02 emission charges. This entire Co2 industry is insane, co2 has become the new money. You can now exchange Co2 as a form of value exchange, nuts.

Emerging markets tells EU to stick C02 surcharges where the sun does not shine

Good to see the full-on carbon idiocy of the EU being slapped back in its foolish face.

' "India is also prepared to impose steep charges on European airlines to fly into India if Indian airlines are blocked from flying into Europe because of the ETS. "We have the power of the economy. We are not bleeding as they are," the Indian official added.'

India China et al are not nearly so bleeding daft as the EUSSR either.

Slightly off topic. But, it is heartening to see the bureaucrats of the EU being put in their rightful place. For fifty years they've been lecturing other nations with an arrogant, patrician air.

Now, that they have helped to bankrupt the countries that they nominally serve, they have been shown by the New BRIC economies that they are not nearly as powerful as they believe. I bet that they were absolutely stunned when the other major blocs revolted against their aviation carbon tax. It probably never even crossed their minds that the rest of the World didn't hold their insanely puritanical view on Climate Change

Possibly, hopefully, this will be the beginning of the end of these unelected self serving buffoons.

True but it's stopping next year (India) iirc. Far too late though.

Amen to that, Perhaps the "foreign minister" Ashton might have to get a real job or actually get elected, much like Barroso and his socialist, well disguised communist, compadres.

But it's only stopping because India is refusing to take it!!

Our government has so little influence over anything these days that they think it is worth attempting to 'buy' influence abroad with largesse. In recent years such may have had a use. Give India £800 million for something, India buys £800 million worth of AWACs planes from the US and is then in a good position to provide support for operations in Afghanistan being much closer to Kabul than is, say, Lossiemouth. Plus it covers up the reality that the Airforce does not actually have the resources to provide coverage anyway.

On the other hand Jaguar Landrover seems to be doing rather well under Indian ownership. So does that mean that Indian Management methods are good, UK and US methods are bad or that they are simply riding some good fortune?

I wonder what Wee George will do with extra dosh he can;t seem to give away? Buy more solar panels and disturbines I expect.

The Budget said:
GREEN MEASURES

Government to seek "major savings" in the administrative cost of the Carbon Reduction Commitment, and bring forward an alternative environment tax this autumn if such savings cannot be found.
Does this mean George is backing away from the Green mantra?
