Bacon showing typical BBC impartiality and yes I'm pretty sure he switched off JD's mike before getting in his final comment about the Climategate scientists being exonerated by five inquiries. I think Bacon would rather that interview was deleted as he didn't come out well and I suspect that is why JD isn't mentioned.

Interestingly if you search for 'Delingpole' on the BBC website you get his appearance on Daily Politics on the 9th March but nothing else, however, if you search for 'Linus Roache' you get his appearance on Bacon's show yesterday. It might be an idea to record the interview as it seems that the BBC aren't keen on anybody finding it.

The oxygen of publicity?

Yes, Bacon was extremely hostile and biased. At one point in the lead up he said 'a denier who disagree with almost all scientists', clearly he has been well contracted.

To some extent the idiot Bacon had to take a counter-posing view as the Delingpole was not 'balanced' by an opposing view so had to take the POV he did, trouble is that being indoctrinated isn't enough to construct a convincing argument.

This is actually to 'our' POV of MMGW/MMCC, the more idiots torn to shreds in programmes like this the better.

In many ways Bacon is exactly the sort of damned fool that we want to be lined up for knocking down on the media.

Easy meat.

Agreed, but I must also agree with dickymint that Delingpole missed a golden opportunity to inform Bacon's listeners that the BBC has an £8 billion pensions vested interest in the climate fairytales. Clearly well done Delingpole overall for making a wet lettuce out of that tomato Bacon.

That's debatable, I'm sure the interview would have been extremely friendly to an AGW priest, but the name calling showed how unprofessional Bacon really is, and how deep the beliefs go.

On reflection I'm thinking that JD was probably trying to "safeguard" future BBC TV/radio appearances. He has had a fair amount of airtime of late (which is good of course). If He had blown the lid then there's no way the BBC would have him on. Just my theory.

I think that sometimes name calling comes from being embarrassed, found wanting or frustration.

I think we heard the latter with a little bit of the first and second.

The arrogance of media types that consort within an organisation that actively promotes the 'big lie' should not be underestimated, Bacon thought he was onto a winner with this, falling flat on his face won't go down well to an ego-centric personality.

This will happen more and more. The faithful have been in a one way street with a free ticket to ride for about two decades or more, adaptation to a changing environment takes time wink and taxes frown maybe I was thinking of the licence fee there as allegedly £8 of it goes to BBC pensions.

I can't see JD on the BBC anytime soon after that performance and especially after he tweeted last night that after the show his book had jumped 1100 places on Amazon. The Beeb seem very good at shooting themselves in the foot or perhaps there is a climate 5th column within the BBC?

Maybe the director of programming is secretly 'a bd', and slips the odd live one in?

Can we look forward to Paxman being taken apart by Monckton one day?

Richard Bacon comes across as a right cock in that interview. He sounds like he's taking it very personally that JD doesn't believe it.

An amusing post... which highlights the OTT media coverage of what amounts to 'a nice Spring weekend'.

20 degrees C is 68 degrees F.

WOW, it is spring somewhere! That’s good news.

Clearly not a climate 'scientist' pushing the cause.

The headlines really are ridiculous.

In a few months the north pole will be warmer than the south pole, that must signal disaster shirley.

The Telegraph - Hotter than Bondi...

The Mail - Hotter than Corfu, Barcelona and Faro in Portugal...

Sky News - As Hot As The Sahara...

The Express - Temperatures set to rival Australia’s Bondi beach...

It goes on. And on. And bloody on.
You'd think UK weather was usually pants or something... silly

I listen to Danny Baker on 5live Saturday mornings [listening now] and the usual 'OOH it's unusually warm' bit from the weather person to which Danny says [paraphrase] "Don't worry, it will snow in April" to guffaws the weather announcer "where?"... "here, it always does, every April it will snow"... the announcer then admitted that this happened to her too...

How long before they receive an int.mem. pulling them into line?

I'd like to see Australia's Bondi match that in spring.
