Well he has 20 Scotland Yard bodyguards protecting him wherever he goes - at a cost to the taxpayer of over £6 million/year.

Not sure he needs a panic room.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/6874145/T...

He goes abroad an earns £100k speaking for an a hour or two and it costs the state about the same amount to protect him for trip. Nice work if you can get it.

I think he might be in hiding after having his ass handed to him by Hitchens.

Hitchens vs Blair was great viewing.

Hitchens, despite being drugged up and a dying man, wiped the floor with Blair.

Yup... I expected a lot more from Blair, but alas "We're not all bad!" was the limit of his argument.

I'm no fan of Blair - not so much for his Iraq adventures but more so for what his government did to this country for a decade.

That said, there is always a part of me which just can't help but admire slimy Tony. He always seems to get what he wants and is a master at manipulating people. He's still a fantastic orator and can near hypnotise a crowd. And in 20 years time he will retire with hundreds of millions in the bank and we'll still be whining about him. Only Tony could help start a war in the Middle East on the back of lies then after fking it all up he gets paid tens of millions of pounds to advise countries like Kuwait on 'security' - it's brilliant.

Would he get a state funeral?

Can just picture the Alastair Campbell spun newspaper headline:

'Saint Anthony of Sedgefield died in the line of duty attempting to bring peace to the Middle East'

I think the "middle east" meant Israel in his case.
