A twit at Heathrow airport said it was armed police evacuating the terminal due to a suspect package.

(is twit the right noun for someone who tweets?)

FFS - Why can't we just double tap people stupid enough to try st like that?

Some would call it state murder, I would call it a worthwhile government spending cut. (think of all the dosh it's now going to cost in NHS, Court and Police time. Not to mention cost of the happy pills he'll get in his nice secure unit...)

Is it incase they manage to detonate themselves and damage loads of people and other stuff?

Great, just when you thought the TSA couldn't possible make travelling to the US any more frustrating, some tosspiece goes and inevitably causes increased security measures. bah.

If it's true they've arrested him they should now carry out his threat - take him to an open space, tie a couple of cherry bombs to his love-spuds & set them off.

This. Flying has become enough of a PITA, now it will be full body scanners at the entrances.

Why can't the police treat these morons like when we were at school?

"I'm going to blow myself up!!!"
"Go on then"
"No really, i'm going to do it!"
"No-one's stopping you"
"I'm going to do it!"
"What's stopping you?"

Clean up in arrivals. Job done.

I know, I know. Stop trying to bamboozle me with all your fuzzy logic wink

I wonder though what the chances of him being able to detonate would be if he never saw the gun the rounds were coming from though. Obviously I would be expecting the officer tasked to be using something a little more certain than a standard 9mm round.
