a couple of reasons really
1) Distance from Liverpool to Sapporo : 5452.1 Miles
( 8774.3 Kilometers / 4734.6 Nautical Miles )
therefore too far for the white vans
2) Easyjet don't fly there

Because they are a people with honour and decency in the main.
Or, as was said earlier - there is nothing to loot.Gees, seriously, what are you going to loot when there isn't a building in sight? And the chances are that anyone who would loot was drowned in the first place.

I've been to Japan. Witnessed a machine that dispenses beer.
Thus full of money and beer. Wasn't bolted down to wall or pavement.
How long would that concept last in Basildon? If Japs think Whites are inferior then where's the problem?
Ditto cigarette machines on every street in Germany. Thus full of money and beer. Wasn't bolted down to wall or pavement.

I think that picture was proved to me a myth in the end as the chap in the top picture had been trying to find groceries in a clothes store.
(Hmm, what floats in black sacks? Must be all those tins of food he found).

What is this and rapelay? Am at work so can't google. I'm imagining it involves an octopus - is this where the James Bond movie got it's name?
Penises are prohibited in Japan so they show an octupus penetrating the woman with its tentacles instead.Rapelay is a computer game in which the objective is to stalk a mother and daughter and rape them.

If even there was, they would be unlikely to do so. An incredible people with a very strong sense of what it is to be Japanese, and for some the lingering knowledge of their history. Bear in mind this is a nation where ritual suicide was perfectly acceptable for hundreds of years (historically even just to protest to their superior) and death is preferable to dishonour.Imagine this, if you pushed into a queue for food in England, Scotland, Wales, France, Italy, Germany or the USA, what would happen? If you do the same in Japan, the person you pushed in front of may well give you their plate/tray..They are too polite. I kid you not - there was actually a TV show about this kind of thing with hidden cameras.....
Let's not get carried away with how noble the Japanese are just because they are having a bad month. It's not the average Japanese person that will go out looting at the end of the day, in the same way it wouldn't be the average Britain or American to do such a thing either.
Japan still does have a prison population of 75k after all, so there must be a few Japanese people who are less than honorable at the end of the day.
There is no looting, because there is nothing to loot. It really is as simple as that. Looting requires 2 key things:
1. Buildings to loot from
2. Things inside the buildings to loot
There is a lack of 1.
