Personally I don’t believe for a minute this is Assad. He doesn’t need to use chemical weapons to achieve his aims.

Indeed, and in fact there have been warnings that ‘other actors’ were planning CW attacks, like this one here

https://southfront.org/us-led-coalition-its-proxie...

Even General Mattis recently went on record as saying that he had seen no evidence at all to support the allegations that Assad gasses his own people and gets help from Russia.

Things in Ghouta are not quite as reported by the BBC, the White Helmets etc.

http://www.voltairenet.org/article200572.html

This is a very seriously dangerous situation. Trump is promissing action, Russia has stated it will shoot down any missiles aimed at its assets or at Assad, that furthermore it will target the launching platforms of any missiles launched.

The stage is well set for a major conflict, I am not convinced that all the key players are determined to avoid one. Dangerous times.

John "war at any price" Bolton is now a national security advisor, he has never seen a war he did not like, well, besides the one he needed to fight in, of course. He makes Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney even Curtis Lemay look like Budhist pacifists.

I had hoped this conflict was starting to wind down, but no chance, years of instability continues and more fuel is being poured on the fire.

You will find a better review at the Reuters institute if you feel inclined to be correctly informed.

He really is a of the highest order.

To get some idea of what John Bolton will tell Trump about Syria, it is useful to revisit an old Bolton op-ed from a few years ago. It may give us some clues about the position he’ll take on Syria today, and it is a helpful reminder that he is remarkably wrong about virtually everything he writes about. Bolton wrote this back in 2015:

Absolutely, he is gaining ground, in fact he would be bloody foolish to do so. The White Helmets are a dodgy source of info as is the source of most Western medias information, 'The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights' which is actually an anti Assad Sunni called Rami Abdul Rahman.......who lives in suburban Coventry

Looks like it may have been Israel. From the Telegraph link above.....

“The US Pentagon said it was not conducting air strikes in Syria "at this time," formally denying the Syrian state television report.

When asked about the explosions, an Israeli spokeswoman declined to comment.”

Israel is officially at war so they have legit right to attack if they feel threatened.

Please link me to it.
The RI search engine brings up nothing about voltairenet; whereas a google search of both organisations' names brings up myriad links to VN articles claiming RI vindication in the context of fake news and conspiracy theories.
I have re-checked the Wikipedia article I mentioned; it is certainly discussing the originator of the material you linked to regardless of the ultimate accuracy of its commentary.
I am perfectly open to being better informed but presently suspect that source won't be facilitating this.
