I've been trying to interest investors in a new product recently. I haven't had what I had assumed would be the right result - ie, investment via equity with angel/mentoring from a single investment outfit.
However, a representative of the first investment group I contacted stated that his group would consider co-investment if another or other investors were found. This week I took a phone call from another representative of a different investment group who also stated that, although the group wouldn't invest solely they would consider co investing.
I don't want to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, so to speak, so as this is unchartered territory, how should I proceed? What would co investors like to hear - or should I notify each of them and just let the grown-ups do the talking?
