Good reward credit cards
Discussion
What do people tend to go for?
I probably put through around £10-£15k per year and at the minute it seems a bit silly not getting anything for using my current card, but I don't know what exists? Anyone got any reccomendations to what are good reward cards, or what are rewards worth having?
Thanks.

I have a British Airways American Express card, you get an air mile (or 'Avios' as they call them now) for every pound spent - means I can usually upgrade me and the girlfriend to business class on our hols flights (usually to the States). That would be my recommendation if you like travelling
I prefer cash as a reward - I never end up using the "points" you get with some cards as the terms of usage are quite restrictive (e.g. Airmiles).
Most of my expenditure goes on an Amex Platinum credit card (not a charge card) which gives me 1.25% cashback above a level of annual spending (about £2,500, I think - easy to check on their website) and a slightly lower amount below that level.
On £15k spend pa you'd get over £150 cashback each year.

I'm a proper girlie so like getting money back vouchers for my favourite shops! I have 2 cc's, Tesco which gets used for food and petrol and gives me reward vouchers (which you can exchange for Avios if you desire) but also throws up offers like £25 Itune voucher for £12.50 of vouchers - guess what brats of my acquaintance are getting for Xmas - and at one time they did a years Autosport for £50 of vouchers - less than a pound a week.
Other card is John Lewis, which churns out gift vouchers on a regular basis which mean I get a wide choice of things to buy 'for nothing' in my eyes!

black Virgin Amex here - usually get 3-5000 a month running my expenses through it
over a year, with flights and other stuff, can accumulate 200-300K airmiles which I usually exchange for Virgin holiday vouchers @ £50 per 10K miles
£1000-1500 a year off a holiday booked through Virgin is pretty good IMO

Also have a Capital One card earning 1% I think. Average cashback of over £1500pa over past few years

Do any of these cards have zero transaction charges on spending abroad?
Try the Halifax Clarity card for spending abroad. http://www.halifax.co.uk/creditcards/low-rate-no-f...
