BTL mortgages are unregulated, so there is far less regulation around the use of funds.
Residential mortgages are regulated so the requests for info will be detailed because the advice could jeopardize the roof over your head.....
Brilliant, thanks for the reply Sarnie. That's very helpful and does explain the quantity of questions, I thought it was strange how much they were asking. Residential mortgages are regulated so the requests for info will be detailed because the advice could jeopardize the roof over your head.....

I don't know who you are* but no problem at all
Steve - this was my 3rd renewal with you and you helped me secure some additional borrowing to fund some home improvements - It's almost impossible for me to match up PH usernames with real world names....

Morning,
Is there a list of providers that will let you apply for a mortgage product 6 months in advance?
I'm sure that used to a default timescale but, for example, Santander says 4 months.
(current Atom Bank 5yr 1.29% fix finishes 30th June '22 and I'm looking for a 2yr fix with no fees (LTV ~15%) to take me to a point to pay off the lump sum left after this finishes).
