All, mega quick mortgage question that didn't feel it needed its own thread.

Have a mortgage on house (low LTV)

Want to borrow more money for completing extension.

Do I have to use my current lender, or can I go out to the wider market?

If you are tied into your current mortgage then yes, you need to approach your current lender for a further advance.

Yeah overdue some praise from me as well, mortgage rate is due to expire in April, got a rate agreed in October, have since had two rate drops that Sarnie just did automatically without prompting, top service as always
